DS2 is an ode to one of Future's first mixtapes (Dirty Sprite – released 2011) and releases on the heels of his Monster mixtape (which featured smash single ‘F*ck Up Some Commas'), Beastmode and most recently 56 Nights mixtapes -- which have all released in the past year. While constantly on the road (with his own Monster vs. Beastmode tour earlier this year AND the Jungle Tour with Drake more recently) Future has also been hinting at a Dirty Sprite 2 project for a while.

Future’s most recent single ‘F*ck Up Some Commas’ was described by Noisey as, “A breakout radio hit that DJs are playing everywhere, it’s the hottest rap song in the country right now and it seems very likely headed for Song of the Summer status…It will make you feel like a million dollars”

Bursting on to the music scene with his rattling lead single off PLUTO “Tony Montana” in late 2011, Future’s debut album continued to rise throughout 2012 with the second single “Turn On The Lights,” which is RIAA certified Gold. Throughout 2012 and 2013 Future continued his prominence on the airwaves with appearances on top charting tracks that have made him a mainstay at urban radio. Tracks written by and featuring Future such as the Platinum-selling "Bugatti" with Ace Hood and Rick Ross, "Love Me" with Drake and Lil Wayne, the Certified Gold single “Body Party” with Ciara and "Loveeeeeee Song" with Rihanna off her GRAMMY-Award winning album, Unapologetic have all reached the top ten of the Urban Mainstream charts. On his last album HONEST Future produced major hits (‘Honest’, ‘Move that Dope’, and ‘I Won’) that continued his dominance on the R&B charts.
