Florida natives indie-rockers Surfer Blood, are releasing their highly anticipated new album Pythons via Warner Bros on June 14.

Sonically, Surfer Blood exudes the same indie-rock coolness as bands such as Best Coast and The Shins.

Surfer Blood are currently on the road with UK indie-rock band Foals on their North American tour.

Surfer Blood will be returning to Australia this July as a part of the killer Splendour in the Grass line up, Which sold out in record time. The band made their Australian performance debut at Splendour in the Grass in 2010.

Surfer Blood will also be treating Sydney and Melbourne fans to side shows while they’re in the country. Playing at The Corner Hotel in Melbourne on July 24 and at Sydney’s Oxford Arts Factory on July 26.

Pythons is the follow-up to Surfer Blood's critically-acclaimed debut album Astro Coast, which earned spots on "best of" lists from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Filter, Paste, NME and the BBC. NPR's Bob Boilen called Astro Coast his "favourite album of 2010".
