Adios Sancho

Los Coronas – a ground-making band in the surf music field - releases Adiós Sancho four years after their last work El Baile Final de los Locos y los Cuerdos. After two decades playing together, their evolution has been so spectacular that during the last four years their work has kindled the interest of great musicians like Steve Van Zandt (guitar player and founding member of Bruce Springsteen's E-Street Band) who offered to record an album through his label. An offer that Los Coronas, eventually, decided to turn down.

Adiós Sancho was produced by Craig Shumacher (Calexico, The Sadies, Devotchka, Barbara Manning, Steve Wynn, Giant Sand, Neko Case …) together with Los Coronas; it was recorded by Chris Schultz at the WaveLab Studio in Tucson (Arizona) and it has been mastered by JJ Golden in California. The album features the producer and musician Craig Schumacher as special guest playing the Vox Continental organ in two tracks.

Los Coronas' includes Fernando Pardo (guitar), David Krahe (guitar), Roberto Lozano (drums), Javier Vacas (bass, double bass) and Yevhen Riechkalov (trumpet). “When we started playing we just wanted to play rock'n'roll and classic surf music the best way we could”, says David Krahe. “Over the years, we needed to go beyond that sound, and this is the album in which we´ve gone the furthest away from all kinds of labels”.
