Regions Of Light & Sound Of God

Jim James is the singer/songwriter/guitarist with Louisville, Kentucky band My Morning Jacket. My Morning Jacket have toured Australia a number of times, playing festivals like the Big Day Out and Bluesfest.

Regions of Light and Sound of God is Jim’s first-ever solo album. He recorded a covers EP previously under the name Yim Yames and has worked with M Ward and Conor Oberst on Monsters Of Folk.

Regions of Light and Sound of God was written, produced and all instruments performed by Jim James (with the exception of strings and percussion) in Louisville, KY. The music on the album is inspired by life and the novel in woodcuts ‘Gods’ Man’ by Lynd Ward. The album is receiving the feature review in February’s Mojo and Rolling Stone Magazines. Large feature in Uncut is locked in. Major TV performances are coming on Fallon, Kimmel and Letterman. Locally features are locked away for the Age, Rolling Stone, Rhythms, Triple J magazine.
