The sudden death of her father leaves a teenage girl without a family and she becomes lost in her own anger and sadness. Her family doctor informs her that her father had a secret, that themother she never knew was alive and well. Although somewhat apprehensive she decides to travel to meet her, with the prospect of starting a new life but as one can imagine, not all is plainsailing. Set amongst the backdrop of magnificent countryside and lush pastures, she befriends a horse trainer who has fallen on hard times and discovers that in caring for a special horse, she is able to overcome her hardships and emotional trauma.
