Spanning over two decades, For the Love of Money follows the true account of an Israeli immigrant who searches for his piece of the American dream. Izek and his family relocate to Los Angeles to escape the crime and violence which has become part of their life in Tel Aviv. In LA he is a success in business and falls in love with the beautiful Aline. However, the world of crime eventually catches up with him. Threatened by a dangerously temperamental gangster (James Caan), his criminal cousin, and even a Colombian drug lord, Izek finds that starting fresh with a clean slate is all but impossible.
