Recently abandoned by her cheating husband, Chloe (Florence Loiret-Caille) and her two young daughters are spirited away to a remote cabin by her father-in-law, Pierre (Daniel Auteuil). Over the course of the night, Pierre shares an important secret with her. He reveals his love for Mathilde (Marie-Josee Croze), a woman he met 20 years ago but didnt dare abandon everything to be with, choosing instead a safer and more familiar path.
