THE new four-strong set-up featuring Swedish drummer Martin Lopez (ex- Opeth, Amon Amarth), bassist Steve DiGiorgio (Sadus, Testament, Death, Iced Earth), Stockholm-born vocalist Joel Ekel f (Willowtree), plus guitarist Kim Platbarzdis, have signed a deal with Spinefarm Records.The band's debut album, 'Cognitive' - overseen by Grammy Award-winning Canadian producer Dave Bottrill, who has previously worked with Tool, Smashing Pumpkins & Muse, amongst others.Rhythmic & experimental, this 10-track affair, featuring songs such as 'Fraccions', 'Last Light', 'Slithering' and first single/video 'Savia', has been described by Lopez as "melodic, heavy, intricate and very different to everyone else".Originally formed by Lopez and Platbarzdis back in 2005, the project was subsequently put on ice, to be resumed with the arrival of Ekel f in early 2010; later that year, DiGiorgio was recruited, making the line-up (finally) complete.
