Stan's Blues

Early 1965 Stan Webb formed the first incarnation of Chicken Shack, naming his band after Jimmy Smith's 'Back at the Chicken Shack'.  In 1967 pianist player Christine Perfect joined them and they recorded their first album for Mike Vernon's Blue Horizon label. The band were heavily influenced by Freddie King and Chicago Blues and developed their own style of British Blues. 'Stan's Blues' was recorded live during the summer of 2004, when Chicken Shack enchanted a packed audience at a venue in Lyme Regis, in the south of England, performing some of their hits and live favourites.
