A Different Kind Of Truth

It’s been 28 years since 1984 and 28 enduring years since Van Halen have released a record with original lead singer, David Lee Roth. The juggernaut that is Van Halen have bestowed another new album upon us. ‘A Different Kind Of Truth’ is set for release on the 3rd of February and will feature 13 brand new original tracks. Van Halen pried into the vaults and played with material written around the time of their first 2 albums. Of the 13 tracks they laid down you can hear the distinct flavors that were present in their early albums ‘1984’ and ‘Van Halen’.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1974, Van Halen changed the rock and roll landscape forever with the release of their self-titled, 1978 debut album displaying unparalleled stage presence, revolutionary musicianship, and extraordinary songwriting abilities. Today’s Van Halen still comprises of Eddie Van Halen, David Lee Roth and Alex Van Halen with a new addition; Wolfgang Van Halen, Eddie’s 20-year-old son.
