Crazy but very funny
I first heard about the guy who made this film when he lost Project Greenlight Australia. He came equal 2nd but a miss is as good as a mile and he didn't get to make his film which sounded promising. Both the winner and the other 2nd place getter made films with decent budgets; Solo and Summer Coda and both were pretty good films. This guy made this crazy zombie romantic comedy with bits of animation and Blair Witch style discovered footage for ten grand that I assume was his own money and whilst I can't believe I'm saying this, this is my favourite film of the three. It's totally stupid, the production values are non existent but it's just funny and ironically (for a film that is totally derivative) it's kind of original too. Not everyone is going to like this film, some people hate it (you can find their reviews on the web) but the fact is this film got into a bunch of film festivals in the US and won awards. Give it a go and support Aussie films.
