Scott Matthew - the bearded angel, whom Rolling Stone Magazine aptly likens to Antony Hegarty and an androgynous-era Bowie, admits he's finally "come to terms" with himself during the writing and recording of his third album, 'Gallantry's Favorite Son'. The result is a confident, self-assured Matthew tackling the issues of bigotry, intolerance and afterlives. With confidence comes joy too, so in the first single 'The Wonder Of Falling In Love', Matthew is dancing in a more playful pop playground reminiscent of 2009's 'Thistle'. Together with newie Felicity, Matthew weaves connectors between Scott Walker and Devendra Banhart; Council-era Paul Weller, Elvis Costello and Burt Bacharach's lush string pop.
