Ever wondered what happens to super heroes when they settle (or are even forced) into retirement? With so many around nowadays, some of them must have found it easier just to slip out of the picture and leave all the heroics to the new boys and girls on the block.
Fifteen years ago, Bob Parr (voiced by Craig T Nelson) was one of the big names in the world of super heroes. As Mr Incredible, he fought evil and saved lives like it was going out of style. Then, to protect him and his family from a ingenious villain, the Witness Protection Programme relocated him to the suburbs where he has been living a quiet, normal life with his wife, Helen (Holly Hunter) - once known as Elastigirl – and their three kids, Violet, Dash and Jack Jack. Bored and out of shape, Bob misses the good old days and wants to get back into action. It looks like he has his chance when he is summoned to a remote island for a top-secret assignment. But is the situation everything it seems to be? Soon the entire family – complete with all of its dysfunctions – is on a mission to save the world in this latest high-flying animated comedy from the creators of Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc and Toy Story.
