The French group EXODE is led by singer-songwriter Roland LELONG, who once shared the stage with one famous Seventies theatrical Progressive rock band from the city of Belfort: ANGE. It is no surprise if the current sextet chose the musical style of the latter, including the title of one of its most renowned tracks. Published by the Musea label, "D'Ici Et D'Ailleurs? (2005) can be considered as being directly connected with the music created by ANGE and MONA LISA. The theatrical singing shines all over that first album, developing poetic lyrics about fairy and mythology. Between the Mellotron, the organ and the flute, nothing is missing to pursue the Seventies' spirit. Nevertheless, EXODE is clever enough to revisit this universe with a refreshing enthusiasm. This is great stuff indeed, who'll surely enchant Seventies French Progressive rock lovers. Not to be missed !
