Janus is an Australian drama television series screened on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in 1994 and 1995. Two series were produced, with a total of 26 episodes. Janus was a spin-off series from Phoenix and was known as 'Criminal Justice' in some countries. It's a story about justice...and the corruption of justice. JANUS is about the lawyers, police, judges and magistrates who work with a very imperfect system. Screened on the ABC in 1994 and 1995, Janus is a is loosely based on the true story which follows the bitterly fought prosecutions of a notorious criminal family.
