War Within, The DVD

The War Within is the story of Hassan, a Pakistani engineering student in Paris who is apprehended by western intelligence services for suspected terrorist activities. Hassan is imprisoned, tortured and undergoes a radical transformation. Following his release he embarks upon a mission, surreptitiously entering the United States to join a terrorist cell based in New York City. After members of the cell are arrested, Hassan takes refuge with unsuspecting childhood friend Sayeed. Sayeed is living the American dream with his family in New Jersey, and as Hassan grows close to Sayeed's family, especially his sister Duri, he is torn between his religious beliefs and his new found feelings. A profoundly human and political drama unfolds as we observe Hassan's inner struggle as he decides whether or not to carry out his deadly mission.
