You See Colours

'You See Colours' is the eagerly anticipated, and much delayed (buh-dum-tish), second album from England's falsetto-voiced indie-poppers Delays. Marking a slight departure from the sparkling West Coast soundscapes they created on their critically acclaimed debut album 'Faded Seaside Glamour', 'You See Colours' finds Delays embarking on a bold and ambitious adventure through electronica, driving indie anthems and, on numerous occasions, pure pop brilliance.

Opening with the uplifting driving beat of 'You & Me', which leads straight into new single 'Valentine', with its reverberating disco thump and ethereal atmospherics, followed up quickly by the murky funk and searing riffs of 'This Town's Religion' and it's clear that Delays have stuck to the earlier promise of their stand-alone single 'Lost In A Melody' from 2004, in which they hinted at exploring a more complex and developed sound.

With 'You See Colours', Delays have made a brave transition from indie dreamers to ambitious chart-friendly retro rockers whose eclectic and harmony drenched songs look set to propel them into the mainstream consciousness.
