Menace Ii Society

Menace II Society is a 1993 American hood film and the directorial debut of the Hughes brothers. Upon it's release it received critical acclaim for it's gritty portrayal of urban violence and it's powerful underlying messages. The soundtrack was equally impressive and perfectly captured the state of hip-hop in 1993 with essential groups like Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth and UGK. It was instantly an original soundtrack classic and peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and at number 11 on the Billboard 200. The compilation has been certified platinum by the RIAA since October 11, 1994. Menace II Society is available on black vinyl and includes an insert.
