In the bustling heart of Manhattan, our street-smart Jerry, has developed an obsession for ancient civilizations, sneaks into the Metropolitan Museum's blockbuster exhibition featuring the mythical Astral Compass. Hot on his tail is our ever persistent Tom, the museum's newest security guard who will do anything to stop Jerry from entering the Museum. Their chaotic chase sends the priceless compass artifact crashing to the floor; unleashing a blinding vortex that hurls them across time and space.They crash-land in a breathtaking golden metropolis that looks like ancient China on steroids. The locals immediately hail Tom as a divine messenger, much to Jerry's annoyance. The city's ruler, the Phoenix Master who is part kung-fu master, part rockstar, rolls out the red carpet for Tom while secretly eyeing the compass fragment hanging from his collar. Once a legendary warrior banished from the heavens for his arrogance, the Phoenix Master sees the compass as his ticket back to godhood.Meanwhile, Jerry, overlooked and underestimated, stumbles into the underground lair of Bulky Rat, a charismatic crime lord with an army of minions to take over the city. Taking advantage of Jerry's bruised ego, Bulky Rat covinces him to help sabotage the city that worships Tom. But when Bulky Rat reveals his true colours during an ambush, threatening to turn Tom into cat soup, Jerry must choose between revenge and doing what's right. After saving Tom's life, Jerry becomes a target himself. Bulky Rat snatches the compass and locks Jerry in an elaborate death trap. Tom, realizing his tiny rival is actually the only friend he has in this strange world; Tom enlists the help of the city's mischievous living stone warriors with hearts of gold, the Gargoyle guardians to stage an impossibly cool rescue mission. This alliance of Tom, Jerry, the Phoenix Master and the wisecracking Gargoyles seems unbeatable.
