Latencia

Latencia is an album by Microhm (MX) and Imaabs (CL), built from the influence of the archive of Mexico’s National Sound Archive (Fonoteca Nacional), recordings of traditional musicians, and contemporary electronic music production processes. The project explores the sonic memory of Mexico and Latin America through a speculative fiction in which tradition, archival material, and technology are transformed into liminal landscapes, suspended atmospheres, and diffuse rhythms.
