Western Sydney's own So I Says to Mabel hit the digital airwaves in October 2025 with their debut album, Make Punk Great Again. The punk rock trio packed two years of songwriting into 11 tracks, leaving little room to catch your breath across the 35-minute barrage of high-energy skate punk teeming with socio-political lyrics. Title track ‘Make Punk Great Again’ is a seething commentary on the political environment, expressing frustration through jagged chords, a screamed chorus, and a spoken bridge that emphasises the contradictions of a particular president. In contrast, follow-up track ‘Lovesong 1959’ is a deceptively sweet cut, consisting of arpeggios, bass sweeps and rudimentary drums – a song dedicated to a 60-year romance. Freshly signed to PEE RECORDS and currently tracking a new album, pressing it to vinyl was a no-brainer. This record is just too good not to be blasted from a turntable.
