In this retrospective, Dana Widawski unveils a captivating panorama of a decade of her ceramic practice. With delicate humour and incisive depth, she blurs the boundaries between art and craft in her assemblages and tile panels. At the very edge of the tipping point, she exposes both the kitsch of our contemporary world and the kitsch embedded within art itself surprising, playful, and exquisitely precise.

Dana Widawski finds motifs and forms in everyday life, which she then assembles into a new work in a collage-like manner. In doing so, she deliberately creates breaks, resulting in tension. The changes shemakes to her found objects are masterfully concealed; her interventions are indistinguishable from the original pieces.
