Art of Defiance, Volume II: An Archive of Protest for Palestine is a visual and textual record of resistance in real time. Serving as a companion to Art of Defiance: Protest Graphics and Poetry for Palestine, this volume gathers a curated sequence of short-form texts protest graphics first circulated on social media beginning in October 2023. Presented largely in their original order of release, the book functions as a chronological archive of witness, dissent, and solidarity under conditions of intensifying genocide and censorship.

Created in response to ongoing assault, displacement, and erasure, these works were not conceived as studio pieces or finished essays, but as urgent interventions - designed for rapid circulation, public visibility, and collective use. Many appeared simultaneously online and in the street as posters and stickers, bridging digital dissemination and physical protest space. Stark graphics, compressed language, and bold color operate together as a visual rhetoric of refusal: refusal of neutrality, refusal of disappearance, refusal of historical amnesia.

The volume documents more than two years of sustained crisis while also tracing the growth of a global solidarity movement. It recognizes the labor of journalists, medics, educators, artists, students, and organizers who continue to document, heal, teach, and mobilize under extraordinary risk.
