“Cultural Monopoly” exposes how America’s artistic narrative was captured by the political left—and why reclaiming creativity is vital to preserving our nation’s story. A bold call for conservatives to reenter the cultural arena and end the left’s century-long control of the arts.

Liberals in the United States have a monopoly on the message American arts and culture tell the world. Cultural Monopoly is an examination of historical events that pushed control of high art to the left and how it affects American culture, today. The left fiercely protects their monopoly, not because they want to ensure high quality in the arts, but because they understand art is a great tool to convey and control a message. Control of the arts means power and there is nothing the left loves more than power.

The monopoly started more than a century ago. People on the right always knew it was happening but chose to focus on other things ... a mistake for many reasons. Art is an important part of our national economy, it’s a critical tool in documenting our history, and can be a factor in personal health. Most importantly, it's the tangible object the American experiment is built on. Throughout history, art has served as the storyteller of the human condition. It documents our relationship with ourselves, each other, and our connection to the physical and spiritual world. In the last 100 years art has turned into a tool, of the left, to convey an increasingly anti-American message. This has resulted in a dramatic decrease in the quality of American art.

Art produced today will be viewed by future generations as an indicator of our society and a keeper of our story. Narcissists try to write history to only reflect themselves. Conservative America can be part of the arts story again if we have the courage to undo the left’s monopoly. The purpose of Cultural Monopoly is to convince conservative America to reengage with the arts. The author concludes with a road map for bringing the arts back to critical, neutral ground. We can and must tell the left, your monopoly of American culture is over.
