The irresistible London keyboardist and composer Greg Foat returns with his new album "6 Days in Leysin". Greg's first memory of the piano dates back to the age of three, when he fell off a piano stool at his aunt's house. Since then, his relationship with the piano has developed into a fulfilling and successful career. At the age of 11 he became interested in composing and at 15 his love of jazz was sparked after attending a workshop with Jeff Clyne, Olaf Vas, Trevor Tomkins and Nick Weldon. He went on to study jazz at Middlesex University and spent six months in Sweden on an Erasmus scholarship, where he completed his first professional studio session at the age of 21. Since then Greg has been working as a professional musician and has built a wonderfully diverse career in jazz.

"6 Days in Leysin" is a concept album inspired by the beautiful Swiss village of Leysin. The album was written and recorded in six days high in the Alps and features Moses Boyd on drums, Alex Burke (Forest Law) on guitar and legendary Swiss bassist Elie Ghersinu. The quartet glides effortlessly through spiritual jazz, Italian library funk, alpine ambient and new age synthesizer sounds. The album is a musical postcard, and the compositions recall the highlights of six wonderful days spent by Greg, his family and friends in Leysin.
