Naar Huis

Thomas Acda and Paul de Munnik met at the Amsterdam Cabaret Academy in 1989. It took a while before they even appeared on stage together, but in 1997 the cabaret and music duo released their self-titled debut album. Acda en de Munnik didn't rest on their laurels, as their second album, 'Naar Huis' (To Home), was released in 1998. During their theater tour, they played to packed houses and made their harmonious vocals their trademark. Even during the festival season, no stage was spared. 'Naar Huis' contains a mix of emotional stories and witty, humorous passages. The album includes the singles 'Niet Of Nooit Geweest' (Not or Never Went), 'Het Regent Zonnestralen' (It's Raining Sunbeams), and 'Laat Me Slapen' (Let Me Slapen), all three of which became not only major hits but also timeless classics of Dutch pop music. The album also features 'Zitten Voor de Blues' (Sitting for the Blues), recorded with Van Dik Hout. Acda en de Munnik is one of the most successful duos in the Netherlands. With their musical diversity, combined with relatable lyrics and their regular-guy image, they've become favorites with the Dutch public. 'Noord Huis' is available in a limited edition of 1000 copies on green vinyl and includes a lyrics insert.
