The first new album by Norwegian trumpeter Matthias Eijk in three years since "Ehn We leave"! The quartet, featuring ECM favorites Christian Randall on piano and bass, Ole Morten Vaughan, and newcomer Hans Halbeckmo on drums, performs a program that includes some of his most exploratory and improvisational qualities. There is an uninhibited quality to these melodic compositions that allows the musicians to flow smoothly between harmonies and collectively build momentum from within the form.

The pleasant tones, instantly recognizable as Ike's, are often pitted against Randall's lyrical and energetic keyboards, soaring above a propulsive and always engaging rhythm section.
