Kate Slater creates her collaged artwork in a studio called The Apple Room, where she keeps lots of boxes and shelves full of paper. The studio is next to the farmhouse in Staffordshire, England, where she lives with her family, her dog, chickens, two pet sheep and lots of cows. In addition to creating children's books, Kate also makes book covers and illustrates magazine articles.
