Emily Andersen Portraits: Black & White

Since graduating from the RCA in the early 1980s, Emily Andersen has built a remarkable portfolio of photographs including many artists, musicians, writers, filmmakers, actors and architects, with Derek Jarman, Zaha Hadid, Helen Mirren, Michael Nyman and Eduardo Paolozzi among those featured in this book of black-and-white portraits. AUTHOR: Emily Andersen is a London-based artist and graduate of the Royal College of Art. Her work has been exhibited in galleries including The Photographers' Gallery, London; The Institute of Contemporary Art, London; The Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography, National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa; The Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Edinburgh; The Barber Institute of Fine Arts, University of Birmingham; Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art; Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai; and China Arts Museum, Shanghai. Watts is a contemporary art critic based in Norwich. Watts' writing has appeared in magazines, journals and books by Hayward Publishing, the Journal of Curatorial Studies and Art Monthly. He is Visiting Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University and the Royal College of Art, London. In Norwich he co-runs the artist-led gallery LOWER.GREEN.
