Most days prove to be truly mundane, all except for the day when destiny arrives unannounced.

For the seven members of The Silent Descendents and their loved ones, that day arrived like a haymaker to the face when their shared suburban community of Yonkers, New York found itself the center of a deadly school bombing carried out by members of a virtually untouchable crime syndicate known as The Chain Gang in retaliation for Det. Irina Ladewig's bold choice to cross an unspoken boundary by arresting the only son of the ruthless organization's undisputed leader Stephen Fiorelli.

Reeling from the deaths of their patriarch in the aftermath of the heartless attack are the Darkfury family: A feisty news anchor named Marie, a former elite covert operative named Harold, a depressed-but-gifted strategist named Hayden, an innocent former gymnast named Sarah, and their mother Dr. Christine Lorio - an accomplished psychologist who's currently unable to navigate the
fresh trauma of her own widowhood.

Not ones to stay down after taking a hard hit in the vein of their fallen firefighter father Richard, it's ultimately Hayden Darkfury and his younger sister Sarah who play a key role in convincing their friends Rachel Jane, Evan, Max, Ben, and James to band together as The Silent Descendents in search of justice against Fiorelli and his crew with the usage of their newfound mystical abilities garnered from an ancient book that's recently resurfaced after disappearing from historical record in 1781.

With the chess board set and the city's soul up for grabs against a backdrop of revelations sure to be unearthed once the dust settles, the battle for ultimate supremacy between The Silent Descendents and the ruthless Chain Gang is one that proves itself to be truly unforgettable and gripping beyond compare in this inaugural tale.
