Deluxe CD/DVD edition. 2013 release from the former Stratovarius songwriter and guitarist. Following a call from Frontiers Records President Serafino Perugino, Tolkki quickly cancelled all plans and started writing a new album from scratch following an original concept discussed years ago between he and Perugino. The idea was to have a magniloquent Metal/Rock opera with some cinematic orchestrations to create the Stratovarius classic sound in a more symphonic and grandiose fashion. Tolkki managed to gather some of the most talented singers from various styles of music with particular focus on one of the most talented young female singers, Elize Ryd who has the lion's share of the lead vocals on the album. With Frontiers full support and Serafino Perugino's executive production, the Land of the New Hope opens a completely new chapter in Tolkki's career and credibility, with the artist regaining full control with his own music and performances.
