The debut release by New Orleans R&B bassist James The Sleeping Giant Winfield. This is old school R&B that used to come out of New Orleans all the time and is getting rarer. Until now. On Lonely Lonely Nights, Winfield is backed by a band that includes members of Walter Wolfman Washington's Roadmasters. He covers Guitar Slim's The Things I Used to Do, the Earl King title track, Ray Charles' Hallelujah, I Love Her So, Little Willie John's Now You Know and Chris Kenner's Sick and Tired, among others.
