The Romantic LeygrafThis headline might raise a few eyebrows. This is the second volume in the archive series with legendary Swedish pianist Hans Leygraf 1920-2011. Leygraf was known worldwide for his meticulous work with classics such as Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert, and his reputation was reinforced by his dedicated work as a pedagogue, not least at the Mozarteum University Salzburg during the last decades of his life. On this album he shows a less known side in previously never released radio recordings of mazurkas by Frédéric Chopin 1969, fantasy pieces by Robert Schumann 1993, and intermezzi by Johannes Brahms 1971. A must for all Leygraf fans!
