The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes was first published in 1894 in England, collecting many of the most iconic adventures of the famous detective – including “The Final Problem”, which introduced Sherlock’s nemesis, Professor Moriarty.

This classic recording features all the original stories of The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes – including “The Adventure of the Cardboard Box”, which was originally omitted from many overseas editions because publishers considered it ‘too shocking’. The narrator, Walter Covell, had an extensive pedigree at the time of recording as a seasoned narrator of classic literature, and his adaptations of the Holmes stories have been cited by the New York Times as having a cult following.
