Away

'Away' is the eighth studio album from Texas band, Okkervil River. It represents a turning point for Will Sheff, the band songwriter, who wrote the album during a time of loss and change in his life. Sheff worked with an almost entirely new cast of musicians for this album, most of them coming from the jazz and avant-garde world, including members of yMusic, keyboardists Jared Samuel (Yoko Ono) and Brian Donohoe (Snarky Puppy) and arranger Nathan Thatcher (Nico Muhly, Kronos Quartet), among others.
