Witchfinder General (original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

The score for The Witchfinder General, Michael Reeves’ highly regarded 1968 cult horror movie starring Vincent Price, Ian Ogilvie, Rupert Davies, Wilfrid Brambell and Patrick Wymark, sees its first ever release. Paul Ferris’ haunting soundtrack has never been released in its entirety, despite being praised by many as one of the best of the era. Remastered from the original quarter-inch tape (long presumed lost), the stylish package includes two “stings” not used on the final soundtrack. It also boasts liner notes by horror movie expert John Hamilton, detailed information regarding the film and its music and rare stills and photos from the original production.
