Remixes And Collaborations

This is not your ordinary remix album. The artists, who include, Daedelus, Child's View (Nobukazu Takemura), Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Koen Holtkamp (Mountains), Build An Ark, and Coffee & Cigarettes Band, have taken the original tracks by Turn On The Sunlight (Carlos Ni-?o and Jesse Peterson) and taken them deeper into unexpected dreamlike territories. Be it the multilayered transcendental string work of Miguel Atwood-Ferguson or Child's View lost sound track to an old home movie, the warmth comes blazing through. Daedelus contributes a wonderfully hovering and blissed-out addition as the offering from Koen Holtkamp slowly churns in a psychedelic swirl. There are plenty of twists and turns as Build An Ark travels out in a group improvisation reminiscent of Sun Ra's late 70's work and Coffee & Cigarettes Band takes a laid back deep groove approach to help round out the album.
