Splash Of Aqua Velvet

This is a feast of ukulele, marimba, steel guitar, flutes, sitar and exotic, un-pronounceable stringed instruments. Four songs feature the vocals of Kristi Rose and elsewhere - vocal harmony supplied by popsters Bill Lloyd, Daniel Tashian and Brad Jones. The core of Aqua Velvet is Jim Hoke and Randy Leago. Jim Hoke, parttime NRBQ saxophonist has played and recorded with Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, Vince Gill and others. Randy Leago is a session man who tours with Kathy Mattea, Janis Ian and other female artists. Guitarist Richard Bennett, producer and musical cohort of Mark Knopfler and Duane Eddy is also a key member. Songs covered include Beach Boys, Burt Bacharach, Johnny Mathis, Todd Rundgren and Paul McCartney.
