QUIKION is the name of a current Japanese band, worth to be discovered ! Obviously influenced by the French minimalist school represented by Pascal COMELADE or KLIMPEREI, these three musicians use accordeon, percussions or any other toy that would happen to come between their hands over and over again. It is an endless list? They have added an element of their own however: Japanese-sung vocals ! The latter is carried out by the charming Yukiko TOTOKI. "Ramadan" (2004) is the second studio album of this trio, conjointly released on the Poseidon Records and Gazul labels. Many adaptations can be found there, stemming from the Yugoslavian, Romanian or English folklores. As for the title "Die Ballade Von Der H?llen-Lili", it was taken from Kurt WEILL. Not to be missed whatsoever !
