For their fourth CD, the Austin-based Lucky Tomblin Band continues to deliver the perfect soundtrack for a Texas Saturday night, as great for listenin' as it is for dancin'. Led by Lucky's lead vocals, the band boasts a veritable who's who of Austin's finest musicians: Earl Poole Ball on piano, Redd Volkaert on lead guitar, Sarah Brown on bass, John Reed on guitar, Jon Hahn on drums and Bobby Arnold on rhythm guitar. Produced by Lloyd Maines (who also adds his trademark pedal steel guitar), Honky Tonk Merry Go Round contains 14 tracks of pure Texas dancehall music poured straight in a glass chock full with roadhouse energy.
