Unplugged On Strawberry Hill

This film is the never-before-told story of one of the most influential artists ever to come out of Jamaica, Toots Hibbert.

It features intimate new performances and interviews with Toots, rare archive footage from throughout his career, interviews with contemporaries and admirers; Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Jimmy Cliff, Bonnie Raitt, Willie Nelson, Marcia Griffiths and Paolo Nutini.

The album recording took place overlooking Kingston at the iconic Chris Blackwell property =Strawberry Hill‘. Toots is joined by his two daughters on backup vocals, his son on bass and percussionist Syndey 'Billy' Watson. This is the first ever recorded acoustic set by Toots & the Maytals, while the afternoon sun‘s golden rays washed over the set with the Blue Mountains as the backdrop. The album includes a bonus DVD documentary, and a unique liner notes contributed by Grace Jones.
