The patrons of a rural California drive-in theatre are terrorised by a serial killer who brandishes a sword. Two police detectives join the fray realising they must go undercover and dress in drag. The drive-in is a hotbed for weirdos which causes several cases of mistaken identity and subsequent breakneck foot chases. is the killer the Peeping Tom who prowls the parked cars? Or is it the derelict cleaner, a former sword swallower? Yet could it be the malevolent manager, a shady figure whose dislike of his customers is no secret?
