Mortal Kombat is an ancient tournament which takes place in a distance island, in which the out-world's best warriors fights against Earth's best warriors. If the out-world wins the tournament ten times in a row, it can enter Earth and rule it. The out-world won the nine previous tournaments, so only one victory is left, but is it about to win this one too? a group of mortal warriors, include Lui Kang (Robin Shou), Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade and some more, in the leadership of the god Lord Rayden (Christopher Lambert), face the out-world warriors.
