NEON BALLROOM is the third album from Australian rock legends silverchair. This is the first album the guys have been able to spend a period of time working on without the previous school distractions. The band's singer Daniel Johns recently stated that his intentions were to make an album that sounded different and contained instruments that are not usually heard played together. The album contains the current single 'Anthem For The Year 2000', the next single 'Ana's Song (open Fire)' and more totally killer tracks like 'Emotional Sickness' (feat. David Helfgott), 'Satin Sheets' and 'Miss You Love'. As a bonus offer, the album contains a CD Extra multimedia component including a 6 minute short film to the music of Emotional Sickness by young Australian film maker Cate Anderson. This album will no doubt be the biggest release of the first half of 1999 and will certainly continue through till 2000.
