Ciao Bella

Alfredo is an Australian singer of Italian background with a rich and diverse career in music and film. After an extensive stint performing in New York, Alfredo relocated back to Australia having secured a role in the critically acclaimed SBS series Carla Cametti. HE subsequently recorded his debut album Ciao Bella. Ciao Bella is a collection of eight Italian and English songs from the 60’s and 70’s, as well as three original compositions which came out of reconnecting with his Italian roots after years of being on the road, touring and acting.“The songs are from the past and they are songs that I heard when I was a little boy at home with mum and dad, aunties, uncles and god parents – These were the songs they listened to…these were songs I loved.” Alfredo put his own distinctive style to each of the well known tracks, including the ballad ‘Cuore E Un Zingaro (The heart is a gypsy)’ interperated as cha-cha, while popular acoustic number ‘Ragazzo Della Via Gluk’ is now a bossa nova style.
