Red Earth Dub

The new CD release from the Red Earth Collective/label follows up the highly praised One More Reason, described by Uncut Magazine as "One of the finest slices of a Anglo Caribbean fusion since The Specials in their prime." Red Earth Dub pays homage to the 'analogue' style, reminiscent of classic 1970s Jamaican productions, yet with a refreshing contemporary edge that evidences influences from dubstep to Afrobeat, underpinned by fierce 'sound system' grooves and dynamic flurries of jazz improv. Red Earth Dub highlights the label's long-runningrelationship with producer and engineer Manasseh, and includes a bonus Afro/dub workout of Fela's classic Africa, and vocal snippets from Roots Manuva's Ricky Ranking feature on the track Never Give Up Dub.
