With a blend of cultural immersion and good old-fashioned smackdown, Fight Quest follows seasoned mixed martial arts fighter Jimmy Smith and 25-year-old rookie Doug Anderson as they travel the globe, adding fight styles from Karate to Krav Maga to their repertoire.
In each episode, Jimmy and Doug explore a new location identified with a style of fighting, such as Wing Chun Kung Fu on the streets of Hong Kong, and Brazilian Jujutsu in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. After immersing themselves in the sounds, smells and tastes of the local scene, the two guys separate to train with local masters of that method.
Jimmy and Doug enthusiastically embrace the teachings of their Masters and the traditional rituals of the cultures, while struggling to learn the fighting style. After five days of intense instruction, Jimmy and Doug each face off against a local in a no-holds-barred test of skill.
