The songs Wesley has written are all drawn from personal experiences; his own and those of the people he has met. In the tradition of writers from Woody Guthrie to Neil Young to Kurt Cobain his 'paints' are everyday human existence and, as such, his truthful 'canvases' have universal appeal. Since his move to Sydney, Wesley has become a troubador, playing his songs anywhere and everywhere that will have him - whether pubs in Surry Hills and Balmain, fairs at Liverpool and Bankstown or The Metro Theatre supporting the Thorns.
