Shine

The eagerly anticipated second album from the stunning all-girl string quartet, bond. Their debut album, 'Born' was a massive international hit and 'Shine' should prove just as popular. Following a similar blend of classical and pop fusion as 'Born', the new album features reworkings of Albinoni's beautiful 'Adagio For Strings' (Big Love Adagio) and Borodin's 'Polovtsian Dances' (Strange Paradise) alongside contemporary works, including several written by the girls themselves. Also worth looking out for is 'Speed' which features the sound of racing-car engines and heartbeats, a life-affirming gypsy-influenced track (Gypsy Rhapsody), a gorgeous tango (Libertango) and their exhilarating version of Led Zeppelin's rock classic, Kashmir. Phew! With several top pop producers at the mixing desks, the bond girls are back and they've never sounded or looked so good.
