After taking a brief hiatus, Ed Sheeran is BACK with the contrastingly different lead single from his forthcoming fifth studio album. Confirming that in this era the English singer-songwriter will embrace a bolder sound that will see him touring with a band for the first ever time, ‘Bad Habits’ leads the way in celebrating this new sound.
With a pulsating club beat embedded in the hook, upon a first listen it sounds like a remix to a Ed Sheeran track rather than the original track. The beat is reminiscent of September’s ‘Cry For You’ with a early 2000’s nostalgia shining through the glossy sound. This track is all about celebrating a joy in his music and while it is very different to anything he's ever done, his fans will quickly embrace this fun side to his artistry.
Recently chatting to Ash London, he revealed that Kylie Minogue and Jimmy Barnes are featuring on the song ‘Visting Hours’ from his new record which pays tribute to the late Australian industry mogul Michael Gudinski. With no confirmed date for his new album as of yet, it is expected to drop in the second half of the year, so keep your eyes pealed!
